Thank you for visiting the Saint James Parish website! Saint James has been serving Catholic believers and our local community for over 100 years. Our Parish family strives to bring the Gospel of Christ into our daily lives at home, at school and at work.

Mission Statement
We, the parish family of Saint James Church, New Alexandria, consisting of diverse, dedicated hard working people, hold firm the traditions and beliefs of our Catholic faith. Our Mission is to keep this faith alive and growing through the love of the Eucharist, the Sacraments, and the Word of God. Responding to our Baptismal call we are devoted to fostering spiritual formation, strengthening Christian values, evangelizing, and caring for all. As we travel on our Journey of a Lifetime, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we help the community strive to seek the Kingdom of God.

- September 22 – Sacrament of Reconciliation at 8:45 a.m. / Children’s Liturgy of the Word / Donut Sunday
- September 27 – All – Day Eucharistic Adoration after 8:00 a.m. Mass / Reposition at 6:00 p.m. / Young Adult Gathering at 6:30 p.m.
- September 29 – Rosary Altar Society – “Learn to Pray the Rosary” after Mass / Priesthood Sunday
October 2024
- October 1 - "The Chosen" Season 4 - at 6:00 p.m. - Every Tuesday in October
- October 1 - Religious Education Classes begin - 5:30 p.m. - get your child(ren) registered by completing the on-line form.
- October 4 - Pet Blessing - Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi - at 6:00 p.m. - All pets welcome!
- October 5 - Oktoberfest - Liturgical Music Provided by the Kozmix Band for 4:30 p.m. Mass and Dinner from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
- October 13 - Children's Liturgy at 9:30 a.m. Mass
- October 18 - Family Adoration Night at 6:00 p.m. with ice cream social following / Young Adult Event at Family Adoration.
- October 20 - Fall Breakfast - 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
- October 27 - Donut Sunday
- October 27 - Children's Liturgy at 9:30 a.m. Mass
November 2024
- November 7 - Stewardship Update - 6:00 p.m.
- November 9 - Craft Show - 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
- November 9 - Young Adult Ministry

- November 10 - Intergenerational Event - "Come to the Feast" - "A View from the Loft" 10:30 a.m
- November 24 - Donut Sunday & Children's Liturgy at 9:30 a.m. Mass
December 2024
- December 8 - Children's Liturgy at 9:30 a.m. Mass
- December 9 - All Day Eucharistic Adoration - Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Holy Day of Obligation ) - Mass at 8:30 a.m. / Benediction at 5:30 p.m. and Holy Day Mass will be held at 6:00 p.m.

Have you ever had a question about the faith you wanted an answer to but never had opportunity to ask? At our most recent Pastoral Council meeting, we discussed ways to provide ongoing opportunities for the adults of our parish to grow in their faith.
Through the discussion of the council, the suggestion was made that we provide parishioners the opportunity to submit questions, which would then be answered in the bulletin.

Mass Times
Saturday - Anticipated Mass 4:30 p.m.
Sunday - 9:30 a.m. - Mass will be livestreamed on our YouTube Channel.
The Church will be open for private prayer Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sacrament of Penance: Will be available on the Second and Fourth Weekends each month. Saturday before Mass 3:45 p.m. - 4:15 p.m. & Sunday before Mass at 8:45 a.m. - 9:15 a.m.
