Thank you for visiting the Saint James Parish website!  Saint James has been serving Catholic believers and our local community for over 100 years.  Our Parish family strives to bring the Gospel of Christ into our daily lives at home, at school and at work.

Mission Statement

We, the parish family of Saint James Church, New Alexandria, consisting of diverse, dedicated hard working people, hold firm the traditions and beliefs of our Catholic faith.  Our Mission is to keep this faith alive and growing through the love of the Eucharist, the Sacraments, and the Word of God. Responding to our Baptismal call we are devoted to fostering spiritual formation, strengthening Christian values, evangelizing, and caring for all. As we travel on our Journey of a Lifetime, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we help the community strive to seek the Kingdom of God.

March 29 – Good Friday /Lord’s Passion at 3:00 PM / Tenebrae Service at 8:00 PM

March 30 – Holy Saturday / Basket Blessing at 11:45 AM / Easter Vigil Mass at 8:00 PM

April 1 – Parish Office Closed

April 5 – Eucharistic Adoration at 7:00 a.m. – Benediction at 7:45 a.m. before Morning Mass

April 6 – 7 – Blood Pressure Screening Before Mass

April 7 – Rosary Altar Society praying rosary at 9:00 a.m. / Meeting after Mass

April 8 – All Day Eucharistic Adoration beginning after 8:00 a.m. Mass for Solemnity of the Annunciation Benediction at 6:00 p.m.

April 9, 16, 23, 30 – Religious Formation at 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

April 10 – Marian Prayers – Rosary Altar Society – 1:30 p.m.

April 13 – 14 – Sacrament of Reconciliation forty-five minutes prior to Mass

April 14 – Children’s Liturgy & Family Fellowship after Mass

April 17 – Healthy Living Session at 6:00 p.m. – Grief Session

April 18 – Finance Council Meeting at 6:00 p.m.

April 21 – Spring Breakfast – 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

April 21 – Rosary for Priests at 9:00 a.m.

April 27 – 28 – Sacrament of Reconciliation forty-five minutes prior to Mass

April 28 – Children’s Liturgy of the Word & Donut Sunday

Mass Times

Daily Mass - Tuesday - Friday at 8:00 a.m.

Saturday - Anticipated Mass 4:30 p.m.
Sunday - 9:30 a.m. - Mass will be livestreamed on our YouTube Channel.

The Church will be open for private prayer Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Sacrament of Penance: Will be available on the Second and Fourth Weekends each month. Saturday before Mass 3:45 p.m. - 4:15 p.m. & Sunday before Mass at 8:45 a.m. - 9:15 a.m.
